Welcome to the Old Shearing Shed Apollo Bay

Perched high above the quiet township of Apollo Bay, this modest yet surprisingly well presented converted shearing shed is every nature lover’s dream! Set on 120 acres of rolling pasture with panoramic views of the ocean and the magnificent Otway Ranges, this unique rural retreat will ensure you unwind in privacy, whilst still being within reach of all that Victoria’s Great Ocean Road has to offer.

You can view the recently televised appearance of the Old Shearing Shed on Channel 9’s Postcards here

Dating back to the late 1800’s this serene property has been home to several landowners over time, as well as experiencing its fair share of natural disasters, including the big bushfire of 1919 that engulfed the original family home of Les Cawood.

The shearing shed was erected in 1959 and operated until late last century. Today, proprietor’s Ross Eastwood and Peter Carey bring new life to this terrific getaway, whilst retaining much of it’s original, rustic heritage.
